Subject: Burt  Welp I got the news a little bit ago that I was getting transferred away to a new land.  No clue where  Just away from Roanoke rapids. Heave ho onward fellows. Anyways I need to tell you a little bit about the people that I am teaching in Roanoke Rapids.  One lady, her name is Megan, and she is a younger lady that came across an internet ad for church things. I would definitely consider it a miracle cuz she is one of the crops that needs to be harvested with the sickle thing. (For all those that are not following that's a reference to a popular missionary scripture.)  Anywhere Megan is a certified baller and although we had her on date, elder farley and I decided to take her off because she was not ready,  But she is getting more ready and I am leaving elder farley with the task to baptize her.  Another person that we are working with is wanda, and wanda is this sweet old lady that always gives us some sandwiches. We like her. She has come to church a few times and has enjoyed it. She is for sure putting a whole new meaning to the name investigator, as she is studying a boatload of information about our church.  Definitely keep wanda in your prayers or wish her luck because she recently had a close death in the family. An honorable mention would be this cool man named Eric that me and ELDER JENSEN found (all caps because elder j is that kind of mad lad)  Speaking of mad lads Eric is a real homie ngl. He goes to a gym that some of our members go to. We gave him a book of Mormon and he seemed interested.  Ok so prayers for all of these men and women that they have strength to do what is right.  A pretty sad part of my day was saying goodbye to all these friendly faces of the Roanoke rapids and rocky Mount wards   I was able to spend some time in the sun with the one and only bert.  A cool prank that I did was make a shirt with Bert's face on it and then we wore them and went and confronted him. We also made one for him.  Shoutout to my very own old man for being behind the scenes and putting the bert shirts together. Love you pops.  Anyways needless to say my man was thrilled to have his own merch and he wore it right away. We also took some pictures with them on (attached) Speaking of attached I am for sure gonna miss this, kind of like that one Trace Adkins song.  Here are some other dogs that I'm gonna miss  The Lewis's  Sister bert (she is cool) Linda coburn  Sister castle or grandma castle Sis. Harris (cuzzzz) not sure if she will ever see this but she is a sweet little lady The Givens  Can't forget Dana and della... The reids, (and grace) And of course brother Strohman himself. I just know I am missing people but no problem, I’ll just come back to rr someday.  Here's some advice to those that are ever traveling and need a cozy place to stay, probably not Roanoke rapids  BUT if you ever need a second family that will laugh with you cry with you or take you fishing, look no further then the rockfish capital of the world.  Love you all Especially my Roanoke rapids family  Elder Bush

Subject: Did you know the bible only uses 6 different letters of the alphabet  Dear friends, what's new? Just wanted to check in and see how everything is doing.  For us, things couldn't be better.  Today was a raining day, we went to waffle house and helped throw some stuff around at a random place, but after we went to rocky Mount the size of the rain started being actual, so we had to run. Which now that I think about it, it doesn't really make you any dryer because when you run through the rain, you are hitting the drops in front of you too. That's why whenever it's raining and I want to stay dry I just eat a bunch of pecans  because all the pecans are inside.  Well hey good, elder farley and I went to visit this lady in Roanoke Rapids and there was a lightning bug in her yard and I practically started yelling.  But anyways sometimes I think about what would happen if a snake ate itself starting from the tail. It keeps me up at night.  I think maybe that's the kind of stuff they should've taught us in school.  K so in other news there was a man on a bike this Thursday and he was about to wave back at me but I think he was probably thinking something like Bing bong Bing bong  Haha yeah so maybe that's why Also when I was mowing a lawn here in Roanoke Rapids it got super mega big warm and this guy named George that said he still lives with his dad came and gave me not one regular size water bottle but two small size water bottles. So it evens out I reckon. K what else was eventful in Roanoke Rapids, well we had a bunch of dinners with members which I believe the young people would call A CASH MONEY THING THAT HAPPENED.  a couple of dinners canceled but over all we got fed a ton. Very gud.  We also went on a few exchanges this week (bert calls them "the ol switcheroos") jk but that would be cool if he did I bet.  Yeah but we leaned a lot from elder jensen the dl and Elder havell the zl. All grand times.  We also helped with a members dance recital which was pretty fun for elder farley. He really liked it. He says it was great.  I went too.   Here's some pictures of us and me and maybe other times we had.  Hi friends this is Elder Bush here

I'm just emailing you to tell you that I finally hit my first lat spread this week. My personal goal is too look like an upside-down dorito with veins. If you don't know what a lat spread is then I'll tell you.

It's pretty much like a bodybuilding pose where you make yourself look as big as possible, it is the human equivalent of that weird lizard that has its frills out in like a mane thing. 

Anyways I'm not trying to be a bodybuilder but I just think it's fun. I think Chris bumstead said it best when he said, "yeah.... pretty good,  pretty good..yeah nice"

I would attach a picture of me flexing but I can't really capture my full body even with a wide angled lense, so you'll just have to imagine it. Or you can look up on Google, "cbum lat spread" and its about the same. 

Also sorry that my only personality trait is that I like lifting weights. 

But, I digress, 

Lots of things have happened in the eventful town of Roanoke rapids NC, we finally hit a population of triple digits when a family moved in, now there's like 108 of us. It was definitely the lewis' that pushed us over the edge. 

 

Also we have been working with that young lady named Megan, and she is really sweet but she needs to learn a lot more about the gospel. And it will just factory reset my brain and I will no words to say. She definitely had some interesting ideas. 

But hey she has been coming to church and she is on the road towards swan diving into the font like a professional investigator. 

We are doing a boatload of member work and less active work. Which is arguably more challenging then nonmember work. Cuz some of these boys are silly silly. 

Well not too much of else of note, 

I met a bunch more dogs and we got to 222222 on the odometer. So yeah pretty beasted
