Fellow residents of the United states; 

Please help me. I am trapped in an endless cycle of miracles and blessings from on high. I cooked shrimp in a sauce pan and forgot that shrimp have tails. I spit the tails out. The shrimp were good. I will try again 

tomorrow. 

Shoutout to my mom for helping me learn how to ride my bike that one time.

 So that I could drive a 2021 equinox my whole mission. 

Janice baker, the woman we dunked on like Shaq in his prime, is having us over for Thanksgiving. And we're going to get catering from cracker barrell. Don't tell Janice but whenever I hear cracker barrel for some reason I think of macaroni grill which is where I traumatized myself by peeing on a barstool in like 2007. Anyways I think I've had cracker barrel like maybe once in my life and I remember there was one of those golf tee puzzle triangles and I remember I was too dumb to figure it out. So cracker barrel is not the kind of thing that I shout from the rooftops because I love it so much. Anyway I'm grateful that Janice is willing to feed us. Because we don't really get fed too much sadly.

Okey here's some food for thought: 

2 Nephi 9: 10. O how great the goodness of our God. People very much tend to focus on the negative things that God puts us through. But for the most part we live pretty joyful lives I feel. And we can also control the quality of our lives. I don't know who needs to hear this but maybe life is like when ur taking a warm nap and you're kind of overheating but not so much to the point that you're gonna die so you kind of need something cool so you flip over your pillow and it's just perfect enough to cool you down. Yeah maybe it's like that. Maybe there's a cold pillow out there waiting for you to flip it over. Keep thinking about that brothers and sisters.

I also have this weird condition called nofriendsisusloseritus, and the symptoms are stuff like: not having friends, and that's it. So if you get the chance to email me go for it because I love hearing about how terrible it is to not be a missionary. 

I've had a terrific week fellas. I think more people have asked if I'm related to George Bush then my whole life, dawg. 

We're teaching this man named greg and he's an absolute unit! He reads the children's book of mormon every day because he's eyesight is too bad to see the other book of mormon, and he has a cat that he orders around like a dog. She's a really sweet cat. I still like dogs more. Anyways we committed Joe to baptism so that's a cash money time I believe, we just have to pick a date now!

I was telling my mother that I have gained a real testimony of prayer over the weekend. Usually people don't like answering phone calls from random numbers BUT the Lord has other plans bro. Everytime we would call someone that was not likely to pick up, they would answer. And one time I I prayed while calling someone and they didn't answer but then a few moment later, they called right back. And we had a didgeridoo of a conversation, mate. 

This is the Lord's work, why not involve Him in it right? 

I promise as a representative of Jesus Christ Himself and under His direction and through His power, that if you pray before stressful times, than He will answer! Also don't take my word for it. Try it yourself. I have faith that at least one human being will read this far down in my email and see this and say to themselves: "yeS. Imma do this thing that he's talking about." 

I know the book of mormon is inspired revelation and I know that the Bible-exceptsongsofsolomon- can help you feel the spirit every time. No offense to all those songs of solomoners  out there. It's a cool poem.

Friends and family I miss you all.

Send me a picture of what you are doing right now.

If you don't I will virtually punch you in the throat.

So anyways I'm out here baptizing a buttload of people yardy know. Anna is on date, which is baller, and I'm trying to get Tom in the font but he is a stubborn old man. I really like him though. 

So a couple notable events that have taken place are: 

I said a 36 minute long prayer to get out of weekly planing. 

I recited the first vision to a kid named Caleb that wants to get baptized.

Fell asleep at least 7 times a day. 

Made an incredible BLT

Had a mission-wide zoom about general conference.

Almost finished the book of mormon in a month 

Looked for Bigfoot with brother Honeycutt.

Here is the backstop behind that last one^^

So brother Honeycutt is like 70 years old and he is a very outdoorsy type of man. He makes hawk and owl boxes, makes bows out of hickory, he smokes on a pipe, tries to shoot squirrels with a pellet gun, and also tries to catch Bigfoot. In his backyard which is basically like THE WOODS pretty much. So yeah the sisters wanted to talk to sister Honeycutt but brother Honeycutt can be distracting sometimes so we needed to get him out of their house. So this is what ended up happening. In the end we found Bigfoot and brought him home and cooked him up and it was pretty good. 

Brother Honeycutt is a very weird man. He's kind not all there but while we were tromping through the brush, he was all of the sudden like "AHHH CATCHME" And he fell backwards and I had to catch him. And he said something about how he wasn't as athletic as he used to be. After that he fell down like 5 more times and I thought we were lost but he eventually got us back to this fence that was like 5 feet high so we got over pretty good but brother Honeycutt got stuck with one leg over the fence so I just like lifted him off the fence and like set him down on the path. And we walked home. So if I had a chance to do that again I would probably definitely not so yeah. 

Also like I said I've been doing a little reading in the good 'ol book of mormon and here's something I found. In 3rd Nephi 10 we see the phrase "like a hen gathered her chick's 4 times within 4 verses. I thought a lot about what that means! What does Jesus Christ gathering you under his wing mean to you?

I am writing you an email to tell you my address is 111 henley place Smithfield NC 27577, just in case you want to send me a bunch of good treats and toasters and stuff. Anyways things are going great here in Smithfield. Me and my companion have found so many people that don't want to have Jesus in their lives! There's only so many people in Smithfield so maybe we'll find all the bad people first, and then all the good people next. So yeah NC is a good place but I sweat all the time. I am always a sweaty man. Sweating in the gym and sweating in the chapel. The humidity makes me wet and sweaty more than I care to admit. Also I feel like a receptionist for a doctor or something. I'm always making calls and texting people and setting up appointments. And then people here absolutely loooooove to talk so I've heard a buttload of stories about drugs and preachers and anything else that's troubling them.  OK cool so now for some bible time. So here's something interesting, and I know I said bible time but INTHEBOOKOFMORMONNNN there's this verse, in Alma 32:32 where it talks about how to know if a seed of faith/knowledge is good, it grows. "32 Therefore, if a seed groweth it is good, but if it groweth not, behold it is not good, therefore it is cast away" so comparing that to ourselves, if we grow its good. A lot of people like to look back and be like "ugh cringe" when they see something in their past, like Bru that means you've grown, and it means you're good. According to Alma's knowledge. So yeah next time you see a cringey thing you did just know that you're probably doing something cringey right now that future you will be disgusting by. Hope that helps.  My friends hello. I've seen miracles happen here in NC. It's really easy to get lost in reading emails so I'll try to make this brief. Elder Low and I are about to baptize nations so be ready. Today I went and balled up at the church. Dunking on sinners yessir. We also taught a lesson to Bryan who's getting dunked (baptized) on the 13 of Nov. So that's definitely a win. Also I heard things back home are going a little crazy. I hope everyone is doing OK. Anyways I have a southern accent now and I'm always eating chicken. There's a billion chicken places to eat. I guess it's just what grows here. 

Yeah so I'm definitely having a rough boy time getting up on time even though it's been like a month I'm still a tired man all the time, but the Lord definitely strengthens me and gives me comfort in times of need. I also taught a man who thinks democrats are the AntiChrist so yeah that wasn't very cash money of him.

I love Jesus and I love the Book of Mormon

I apologize that I didn't send an email last week. I was on a plane. Going toward North Carolina! Not too bad of a flight, but instead of watching movies on the plane I played chess on the little screen. And I lost every single time, even against the lowest difficulty. 

Anyways we landed and  met the president,- who, by the way is Australian so he has the dopest accent ever Then we drove to the stake center in Raleigh. We had about a day of orientation, then Sister and Elder Maurer (the mission president) threw us out to live our best lives with our trainer in the field. My trainer is elder Low. He's an absolute unit broh, a real beast of a missionary. So he's teaching me everything I know. We've been really grinding away at these investigators broh, I really hit the ground running. I honestly feel like I've been here for months already. 

I've taught a bunch of people already this week but here are some notable interactions.

My first contact I had was Kelley and we found him at the park. We gave him a BOM and he said he would read it but we didn't know for sure, later he texted us and told us he would read the whole thing so that really surprised us.

Second notable interaction was brother Honeycutt and booy oh boy he can talk. He is this older souther gentleman and he rambles on about hunting and Bigfoot forever 

We also have this lady named Janice set up for baptism but her husband's not super supportive so remember to keep her in your prayers.

But yeah everything is great here in Smithfield NC. Great and wet. I ate some saltines yesterday and they were soggy just from sitting in the pantry.
