Subject: the craimbus way  Guys I had a whole entire email typed up and then I deleted it. Like a buffoon.  Anyways it has been a super good time in the raliegh are. We have been teaching some super stellar fellas what can I say. There is the guy named mickey who were teaching and he is going to be baptized on the 28th. Ohh. Yeahhhhh. I would say that we have a few more people that we want to put on date but aren't ready. We don't want to baptize them if they aren't really committed. Any who the other people we are talking too are: Diane blackley, matt and kelsey Dixon, Craig Young, and the Barrera family. Some of these families have been taught for a very very long time. It's nuts that they've been meeting with the missionaries for so long. (Like 4+ years)  Also I would have to say that one of the best things you could do right now is make a grilled cheese sandwich. Probably to eat. Would you like to know what the secret ingredient is to the perfect grilled cheese?  Gotta say, it's eggshells. You crush them up. Throw em in. Full dose of calcium for the day.  A couple more things I have to say:   Don't waste your energy on dumb things.  Make sure to change your AC filter this month.  If you fall into a lake in your car remember to roll the windows down so you can get a good old breath of fresh air before you go underwater.  Just a little life hack from your boy.   I would say that the scriptures are good you guys. And im always learning something new. Some cool things about agency. And some thoughts:  God doesn't want us to do good, He wants us to choose to do good. And he wants us to choose to do good because we love Him.  I think agency is one of the greatest gifts we have been given and I think it's cool that we can all choose to to bad and good. It's nice that we can be our own little person you know? I bet God is looking down and sometimes laughing at what we do and how we act. Other times I think He might be sad. I very much believe that if there is a God, than He is. Nice one and. Kind one. You maybe think to yourself " than why does all this stuff happen to me, and I'm not even doing bad things" well. Great question my friend. The answer is that God has a plan for us, and when we chose to come here we chose to endure these hard things too, because we knew the toughest sandpaper can make the smoothest rocks. There are many times when we do not understand why we are being terrible and going through bad times, but I don't think we would be able to understand until we look back on it. The same is like a baby getting a shot at the doctors office, once the baby is getting a shot, it is the most painful moment to him. He might think that he's gonna die, or that he's in mysery and that's not necessarily true. The baby also might think. Hey what's going on? Why isnt my dad protecting from this pain? Why is he letting this happen? And what the baby doesn't know is that this shot is ultimately for the best, and will only hurt in the moment. Cool metaphor for life right? My dad told me that. I have never forgotten it Anyways yeah. Ladies if you like a spiritual man, then boom. Hmu.  Jk jk. Don't do that  Elder butch

Subject: Lumpch  You guys. This has been a grand old week let me tell you. Elder Myers and I have taught a bunch of families the last couple of weeks. We prayed for families to find and teach and we definitely found some! They really kind of fell in our laps. My lips are a lot more chapped, which indicates the temperature drop this season. It is funny because you can definitely tell the difference between the locals and the people from NY, because all the North Carolinians wear bigger coats and the new Yorkers dont. It's almost like a super power I swear, everytime I'm not by myself and I say anything along the lines of:       "the temperature of the air around me has dropped significantly which in turn makes me a very cold man",     a guy from Buffalo has to come teleport right into my bubble and tell me about how this doesn't even begin to compare to the severe chill of new York. Well guess what buddy: nobody gives a darn.  Sorry     I digress. It seems like everyone in the whole wide world got me a treat or candy or some kind of sweet thing for Christmas. Which, don't get me wrong, it's a grand old time, I have a sweet tooth. But, the problem is I only have one sweet tooth. And Gary is feeling very overwhelmed this holiday season. (Yes my tooth's name is gary), (no, I'm not going to jail for naming my tooth.) There is only so long that I can live on candy. But so far I'm doing good. Welp yeah, the other dilemma is that I really enjoy lifting weights and working out. And that by itself is not a problem, but then when you zoom out and see that I live in a one bedroom apartment and my weights are limited, you get to see why I have been starting stopping being a healthy feller. Thankfully I have a fast metabolism. Which means I burn fat quick, but now I'm starting to burn all my muscles too, and Ilook like a pipe cleaner. I remember I stepped on the scale in my bathroom and my scale didn't even tell me how much I weighed he just told me to go eat a cheeseburger The winter is fun in North Carolina because it snows like once a year if you're lucky and everyone hates you. But don't worry everyone I have the Lord on my side. Here is a verse about it->   John 16: 32-33 32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Sometimes when I feel alone I say that phrase and I feel better.  Maybe it's a coincidence or a placebo. Maybe it's not. Who knows I think it's not, and I don't know if I'll ever know for sure. But beliveing has taken me a long way and I think it would for you too.  -owen

Subject: "The internet is always right" -Abraham Lincoln  I found that quote on the internet.^ Anyways I've had a pretty stellar week. And you people are going to hear how it went, whether you like it or not.  I will describe my week in poem form Monday we went to Wendy's but it was only the drive thru Tuesday we had crocodile stew Wednesday the time was fleeting  Because Thursday we had a big meeting  Friday we switched around  And Saturday there were people to be found Sunday we knocked some doors And today we played soccer chair wars  The end -by elder Bush Yeah so like I said in the magical poem we had a meeting on Thursday (zone conference) which was the Christmas kind of zone conference. We all played games and had a silly goofy whacky time. Also elder Lopes and I bought matching sweaters. Let me tell you about the sweaters. We found them at Ross and we knew right away that it was meant for our skinny bodies. Made by aeropstale and mine is a medium. It looks like you killed a lumberjack to make the outside and i'm pretty sure they actually killed a real life sheep to make the inside.  Nice and warm I would say that there have been a lot of things that I have learned on this mission trip but most importantly I think learning how to talk to people is one of the more important ones. I am now a master talker. Also I was reading in the beginning of the book of Mormon and I read the testimony of the 3 and 8 witnesses and I liked them a lot. Maybe you should give it a try. Those witnesses make me smile a bit.  Also I would say that I have been teaching a lot of families lately. Families are very fun to teach. Pray for them please.  Owen

 Subject: Fly me to the BRUGERKING

I think one of my bucket list items is making a whoke class of 6th graders weep

Here is the plan

I will start a band


It will be called yemen. Like the country. and then whenever anyone
looks up Yemen, my band will show up instead of the country and then
all the middle schoolers who have to do a project on Yemen will cry
and cry. They may even listen to all my songs and they will be so egdy
and brooding that it will make them cry even more. Don't worry it's
more a cry out of confusion than out of sorrow.




I read in Mormon chapter 9 a bunch of good stuff that I should share.

9 For do we not read that God is the same yesterday, today, and
forever, and in him there is no variableness neither shadow of
changing?
   10 And now, if ye have imagined up unto yourselves a god who doth
vary, and in whom there is shadow of changing, then have ye imagined
up unto yourselves a god who is not a God of miracles.
   11 But behold, I will show unto you a God of miracles, even the God
of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and it is that
same God who created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in
them are

My man is saying that if God is the same yesterday today and forever,
and if God performed miracles in the past, then that means miracles
should be happening today.

Its a little bit of "if A = B than B = A" action


Anyways I also know that there's a few souls who might read this that
don't believe a lot of the stuff that I do, and that's ok. I also know
that there's some people that believe I am wasting my time or at least
i could be doing a lot better things with my life
 To be frank, if you do feel this way or Maybe even a little like it,
then don't worry about it
 I think it's ok that you feel that way.



Anyways yeah a bunch of stuff has u folded in the past couple weeks,
last night Elder Myers and I hauled a bunch of trash out from a
families yard that has neglected it a little bit, which smelled so
bad. It was so bad it made my eyes water at one point. Anyways we had
to take like 50,000 trips to the dump because we don't own a truck .
We own an equinox. So we washed and sprayed and vacuumed the trash out
of this car today. It was kind of a big bruh moment if im being a
hunnid percent honest.


Also as the almighty district leader I had to go and exchange with the
other elders in my district and see how they were doing. Turns out
they are chilling

I think my only wish in life is that the queen of England could come back and pat me on the back and tell me I'm doing a good job.

Anyways whats going on with all of you? 

I would like to hear some cool stories. The thing is that I wish I could say that I'm deeply sorry for not emailing every week, but low key, I think I'm emailing just the right amount. The problem is I don't really remember what you all know. Granted you're probably not keeping track of all of the details of my life, I just would like to not repeat myself. 

Major events of importance:

I found a wolf spider on my porch and I tried to keep it as a pet, my plan was to freeze it in the freezer and then get it out and put floss around its bum and then thaw it in the sun. When I put it in the sun it did thaw but it was very much a dead boy so that's didn't really go as planned. He had juice leaking out of his little spider joints. Then I fed him to an anthill close by, they liked that. 

Another event of importance is that a less active man gave us a pack of Gatorade bottles and a whole box of honey buns. 

I would say the only other thing that's really major is that I bought a shirt today. It is the color of black. 

Yeah I can't really think of anything else that's important here in NC,

So yeah, some small items of business include the fact that we're moving houses, 

I got my acceptance letter to hogwarts, we had a temple trip, I played a season game subbing in for Matthew Stafford, and I won the lottery and gave all of it to the local subway so they could give away free loaves of Italian herbs & cheese. 

If you think I'm lying then you're probably really lame

Besides that I've been living the life of a normal missionary in North CaRoLinA
